John Vere-Hodge is a British artist, painter and sculptor who was born in East Africa and has lived in the UK, New Zealand and Europe. His work is reflective of his eventful biography and a life-long obsession with the creation of two dimensional and three dimensional works of art.

John Vere-Hodge was born in East Africa and spent his formative years in various parts of Africa, England and New Zealand before he moved to continental Europe.
His techniques and processes provide a glimpse into the lost world of Old Masterly trade secrets.
His style has developed from Magical Realism infused with mythology and legend, via an “Arabesque” way of dissolving outlines, to the resuscitation of the extinct technique of Venetian Paperwork.
